Now in its sixth year, the BGSO Annual Research Symposium serves as a campus-wide moment to spotlight the ideas, questions, and work being generated by students across the University of Florida. Guided by the 2026 theme Lift Every Voice: Living Legacies of Scholarship, the symposium invites students from every discipline to step forward and share the work that contributes to UF’s strength as a leading public research university.

This student-led event creates opportunities to present ongoing projects, completed studies, creative work, and emerging ideas through multiple formats, while encouraging dialogue across fields that rarely share the same room. With feedback provided by postdoctoral scholars and faculty, recognition for exceptional contributions, and opportunities for broader engagement throughout the day, the symposium is designed to be both affirming and forward-looking. At its heart, the event celebrates student scholarship as an evolving legacy, one shaped by many voices, perspectives, and paths.
